It's not a bakla film. It's an art film.

It's not meant so that only homosexuals can relate to it. All of us can. Especially if you're a Filipino.

As trite as it may sound, this movie is about love.

Real love.

Oh god, I can't believe I said that.

Anyway, it's a definite must watch. We need more movies like this.

Fantastic movie!

The fourth book was my favorite, and I'm very satisfied that it was transformed into a movie very well.

Unlike the previous 3 movies (the 3rd movie especially), Director Mike Newell was able to seamlessly integrate each scene without baffling non-Harry Potter readers.

While the movie's tagline is terribly pessimistic ("Difficult times lies ahead"), it had more humor than the previous 3.

There was one scene near the end when I muttered, "Imhotep, is that you?" XD Hehehehehe.

Adding to the experience was Gateway's Globe Platinum Cinema. La-Z-Boy, free popcorn and drinks and fellow Potter fans, made the Php299 all worth it.

Must watch it again.

Italianni's has always been great. While it's not really that affordable, their dishes more than makes up for the price they charge for each item.

The Italianni's in the (fairly) new Gateway Mall is (for me) different from the other branches. Their crew are so... happy. They're such a vibrant group what you can't help but to share their cheeriness. It's like being in the Twilight Zone.

Anyway. The restaurant manager takes time to chat a bit with the customers, and the servers are always on hand. Well, I suppose that's because they don't have much to do since their branch is not really packed during the weekday.

But yeah... try dining at Italianni's Gateway. It's one helluva experience.

And order the Penne Arrabiata.

Yes, I'm talking about the vegetable.

I've been fairly tolerant of celeries my mother used to put in her macaroni salad and sometimes her pancit. Last December, however, my view of celery has changed and recently, I now have a high respect for it.

During day 2 of our 3-day company Christmas party, I saw my boss chopping celeries at the kitchen counter. I asked what it was for, and to my surprise, he said it was for the spaghetti. I was skeptical about it, but when I tasted it... well, it's simply one of the best spaghetti I've ever had. My respect for him has sky rocketted; a feat since we all think of him as nothing but a perverted SOB.

I've been thinking about celeries since then (God, how pathetic!), and always looking for a chance to try my own spaghetti with celery. My sister was as skeptical as I was last December, but after tasting the sause, she was also conviced.

Soups, omelettes, and this everning, curry. It enhances the flavor in a way that salt, pepper and a little sugar cannot do.

Try it.

2 hot & horny teenage guys + 1 sexy lady = lots of sex

Y tu mamá también, however, is not only about sex. It's actually about life. It's one hell of a road trip, with the customary traffic, breakdowns and the ever present turning-off-the-road-into-a-dirt-track-and-getting-lost. And finding paradise.

At first glance, the movie seemed shallow. Watch it again, and try to see what the director really wants to show you about life's realities.

Anna L. recommended this anime to me, saying that it's really funny. Ain seconded it, adding that it's fascinating. Fascinatingly weird, that is.

Without looking at any reviews or synopsis, I went ahead and downloaded the manga and the anime of Midori no Hibi.

Just imagine my surprise when I came to the page where Midori magically replaced Seiji's right hand.

Well, it *is* an unusual twist, but after Ranma 1/2... weird suddenly became almost normal lol.

The manga was definitely an engaging read. The anime however, met the fate of so many other mangas that has been made into an anime. While it certainly stayed as close to the manga as possible, the anime cut off some of Seiji's and Midori's adventures. Some characters in the manga didn't make it to the anime, like the mad professor and his out-of-this-world daugther. Then again, I suppose they just wanted to stick to the core of the plot. And with only 13 episodes, they really need to cut off certain storylines.

I was terribly disappointed with the way they made Seiji's older sister, Rin. Rin is a really tough gang leader who's very agressive and violent. While she's not a model citizen, the author was able to make Rin into a classy bitch in the manga. In the anime, she seemed crass and uncouth.

Oh well, at least they tried. In fairness, the anime is still pretty entertaining, and enjoyable to watch. The songs are quite good too, so it's not really that bad.

Then again, I've always been partial to comics.
